This came out yesterday, with the answer from Chase supposedly being that Tony is not dead.
But Chase is unhappy with that answer today, with the metaphysical ambiguity he seems to revel in having been lost.
I just watched it this summer. Thing is, regardless of the way Chase wants to answer his interviewers, it’s not ambiguous. The canonical allusions within the episode are so tightly constructed… with the bell ringing, with the wordplay, with the Member’s Only dude… that there really isn’t another answer. Tony got whacked.
The presence of the Member’s Only guy within a scenario in which Tony doesn’t get whacked would be non-sense.
