I didn’t know this: central park jogger

New category: I didn’t know this

I was reading Kevin Williamson and T Coates back and forth:

Coates notes the central park jogger.  I had no idea that ten + years ago the crime was found to have been committed by a single suspect, with the original five acquitted after conviction.

IE, they got railroaded by the police.  I’m not surprised now, though in the 90’s I would have been hard to convince this was a thing that happened to vulnerable / powerless suspects.

I recall they were very worried about ‘wilding’ at the 1989 taste of Minnesota.
